Homage to TR3 or Who is Edvard Ravnikar?

The idea for the photography and research project Homage to TR3 or Who is Edvard Ravnikar? goes back to my first encounter with Ravnikar’s architecture and a feeling of being stunned by its aesthetic and captivated by its unique presence. The photographs try to capture this haunting yet impalpable quality of Ravnikar’s architecture through strategies of exaggeration and derealization.

In contrast, the selected quotations by Edvard Ravnikar reflect the subsequent rational approach to Ravnikar’s life and work through a typical research process. However, the final selection does not actually aim to clarify anything but to produce even more questions and a different perception of a supposedly familiar place in the heart of Ljubljana.
